A propos de The Recovery!

The Recovery! formed out of the ashes of various bands that split up. Several failed relationships ended up in nights of alcohol fuelled debauchery in a cold dingy flat in Glasgow’s West End. The five members met just at the right time sharing experiences from hurling guitars out of smashed windows to crying tears of sheer desperation through shared experiences of love and loss. Beanzy the guitarist jokingly mentioned that they should call their new musical endeavour The Recovery and that’s exactly what the band came to be – a musical vessel for each band member’s recovery from the depths of despair. The band self-released first E.P ‘This Ones For The Lovers’ and stand-alone single ‘Vulture Club’ which propelled them towards playing to packed audiences around Scotland and performing as main support to Cancer Bats at Slam Dunk Festival Scotland. The band’s next release was debut E.P. “Wherever Nowhere Takes Us” WHICH was released via Coldwar Legacy Records and the first single “The Faint & Fragile” gained airplay across the BBC Introducing network as well as various shows on Kerrang! radio and XFM London which also included a live session. The video was also play listed on MTV Rocks, Scuzz and Kerrang TV stations, alongside some legends and further critical acclaim came through positive reviews and features in Kerrang! Magazine, Rocksound, Big Cheese, Front and hard hitting drummer Stu got a special review in iconic magazine Rhythm Magazine. Playing live is what this band are all about and are not to be missed, they have set up their own UK tours, grazed festivals such as TinthePark, Wickerman and the Stag & Dagger with Hawk Eyes, as well as supporting bands such as 68”, Modern life Is War, Title Fight, Bleed From Within, Heart Of A Coward and Martyr Defiled. The Recovery was born out of chaos and will grow with chaos, therefore the band had taken a short time away to deal with life and write their debut album which they now have finished and will enter the studio in the first half of 2017, release the record in the second half whilst playing live throughout and booking a full U.K tour. You can currently hear some of their new music live at their gigs, keep an eye on the bands social media pages to stay up to date and support one of Scotland’s most honest and energetic bands. 'Borrowing some mighty groove and swagger from across the Atlantic like Every Time I Die, these Scottish lads are here to pummel you senseless with their deranged party hardcore. With debut EP 'Wherever Nowhere Takes Us' out in February, they'll be fuelling unhinged parties outside of sunny Glasgow soon. And you know what? It sounds like a party we really want an invite to.' - AMR (Rock Sound Magazine). 'Who are they? : Swinging rock 'n 'rollers, with riffs loud enough to wake the dead. You should care because : The Recovery! rock, ruck 'n' roll their way through an assortment of deadly, dynamic, hardcore-tinged chips off Cancer Bats' block.' - Kerrang Magazine. "Glaswegian metal-core, riffs loud enough to wake the dead!!" - Rock Sound Magazine.
