Carmecí derived from the Latin word ( car-me-sí ). What does that mean? “Crimson”, a word that was used in the Bible to describe the color of Jesus Christ blood at the time of his sacrifice. Carmecí definitely knows what sacrifice means when it comes to standing for something he believes in, a dream, a vision that comes from within and the utmost High. Talent doesn’t define who he is or what he does; it is more of a sense of purpose, a “calling” if you will. Before focusing on singing and song writing, Carmecí had started his musical journey at the age of twelve playing different instruments, letting go of other things and hobbies most kids of his age wouldn’t have. What was it? A dream? A vision? It was a purpose, a purpose he found early in his life.

Carmecí has just released his long anticipated debut solo album this year! An album that contains years of struggle, self-evaluation, and a yearning of understanding. This album is not just a musical release that most musicians choose to unleash. This album comes from the heart, from the exposure to pain, the real life issues you and I are faced with everyday.

Carmecí has opened for National Bands such as “Saliva”, “Candlebox”, for Christian International bands such as “The Super Tones”, “Since October”, and International Spanish Christian bands such as “Zona 7”, “Cronos”, and “Strike 3”. Carmecí is currently getting air play on Houston’s largest Rock station 94.5 The buzz.

Carmecí has also been featured in several short films, and has came out on Fox Network Television show “The Good Guys”, other full length feature films are in the works at the moment, check back for details. Besides acting, Carmecí has also wrote his own comic book, movie script, video game concept, and has just launched his very own jewelry line and clothing line. His own book and audio teachings are also in the works.
