A propos de Amanda McCoy
Songwriter, bassist, guitarist, vocalist, music director, hired-gun, visual artist, educator, and vintage gear / analog synthesizer enthusiast – these are only a few words that describe Amanda McCoy. Since 2009, Amanda continues to be one of the most sought-after touring and studio musicians in Nashville, TN.
Amanda has performed and recorded with an array of artists and bands, some of which include Tanya Tucker, world-renowned multi-platinum progressive rock band - Pavlov's Dog, Candi Carpenter, Jake Clayton, Jenny Tolman, Rachel Lipsky, Ashley Ryan, Tiera, Lexie Hayden, Jeff Clayborn, and Sunny Sweeney.

Amanda has also shared the bill and opened for the following legendary artists Dolly Parton, George Jones, Clint Black, Hank Williams Jr., Jeannie Seely, Bill Anderson, Lee Ann Womack, Jo Dee Messina, Brandi Carlile, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Marty Stuart, the Charlie Daniels Band, Little Big Town, Neil McCoy, the Eli Young Band, Lorrie Morgan, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, and Molly Hatchet.
As a songwriter, Amanda writes her own original material and regularly co-writes with other artists. In 2021, Amanda co-wrote “Dirt Around the Tree” by Candi Carpenter - that features and was produced by Brandi Carlile.
Amanda made her first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry with Candi Carpenter on July 12th, 2019. She was also honored to perform two shows at the Grand Ole Opry for Dolly Parton’s 50 Years at the Opry NBC special.
Amanda grew up in the small town of Coshocton, Ohio, where her parents played an instrumental role in nurturing her love and appreciation of great music. Amanda is quoted as saying, “I was raised on a multitude of genres – I can remember hanging with my grandparents listening to Waylon, Willie, Dolly & Porter, Don Williams, Merle, and Johnny Cash – and then listening to Bruce Springsteen, SRV, KISS, The Cars, Thin Lizzy, and AC/DC with my parents. I developed a very eclectic taste for music early-on.” At the age of three, Amanda’s grandparents bought her an acoustic guitar. That’s where it all started. Amanda was then playing guitar every second that she could and began writing her own songs. Amanda picked up the bass guitar at age 12 and that’s when it all clicked.
In early 2005, Amanda met her mentor and future producer, Pandel Collaros. The next four years spent at Bethany College were Amanda’s most important years as an aspiring musician. The college years were all about becoming creative in every sense of the word and soaking up knowledge from her mentor.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Amanda set her sights on Nashville and immediately moved. On the evening of her arrival, she scheduled an audition with a local progressive-rock band, Zasz. As Amanda’s journey continues to unfold, a reputation precedes.
Whether it’s on the road, in the studio, writing, or in front of a blank canvas, Amanda brings something special and unique to the table. With extraordinary creativity, drive, dedication, work ethic, high standards, and talent, Amanda McCoy is a force to be reckoned with.
Currently, Amanda is recording a new album and tours regularly with the following artists: Tanya Tucker, Jake Clayton, Candi Carpenter, Rachel, Lipsky, Lexie Hayden, Robbie Calvo, Jeff Clayborn, and Pandel Collaros. Amanda’s latest single, “Magic House” is now available and previous releases include Jade, The Rain Barrel, The Hurt, Annaline Suite, and My Gold.
