Brian Brainstorm started producing Drum & Bass in 2010 and became a Resident DJ at the Bassliebe events in Cologne in 2011 where he played gigs alongside Benny Page, Bladerunner, Serial Killaz, Marcus Visionary and many more.
His ravey and powerful sets consisting of smashing Jump Up combined with Old School and New School Jungle Music went down very well with the local crowd so he decided to steer his productions exactly in that direction, always dance floor oriented with hard smashing drums, a dirty crunched Jump Up bass line or a deep Jungle sub smartly arranged with an interesting arc of suspense. In 2013 his first UK releases on Roll The Drums Recordings, Fine Beats Audio and Digital Roots Recordings caused a huge wave of DJ support by some of the biggest selectors in the scene.
He continued his success in the scene with releases like “Shock Out” on Kenny Ken’s label Mix&Blen, his “Gunshot Skank” EP on 3 Flow Recordings, his remix of Kartoon’s “Soundboy Surrender” and his contribution “Pon Di Streets” to Technique Recordings’ “Summer Selection LP”
2015 marked the first time his tracks got played on BBC Radio 1 / 1Xtra by Etherwood, TC, Document One and Annie Nightingale. Liondub International released his first Street Series EP “No Mercy”, followed by a lot of remix productions for Bassface Sascha, Navigator and Numa Crew.
At the latest his second release on Technique and another EP on Liondub’s Street Series ensured that he became one of the best-known Jungle / Drum & Bass producers out of Germany. Of course, this caught the attention of many promoters and in 2016 he made his UK debut in Manchester, his France debut in Paris and he played a lot of gigs all over Germany, for example at “Let It Roll On Tour” and the well-known festivals “Nature One” and “Fusion”.
His first release on the mighty Serial Killaz label has just been announced so expect nothing but pure fire from Mr. Brainstorm over the coming year as his sound sweeps the globe…
