Doc Otis is a Junkyard Gypsy Jazz, Steamboat Swing-Slathered Sax, Guitar, Percussion Trio - Distilled in the lead-laden foothills of the Missouri Ozarks, Deep Fat Fried in a Vat of The Big Easy.
Doc Otis’s sound is a combined result of the insanely high lead contaminates the trio was subjected to from very early ages, coupled with their experiences of sight and sound in New Orleans.
The original duo (Ferguson & Miller) began playing music together late 2012, formed Doc Otis in early 2014 and headed down to New Orleans, where they fell into their own unique sound. Sept of 2016 the duo joined forces with percussionist Tyler Edwards. The newly formed trio are currently gearing up to launch a three pronged aural assault on earholes everywhere.
