A propos de Mike O'Neill
Former lead vocalist and bassist for the bass and drum duo The Inbreds, Mike O'Neill is a veteran of the Canadian Indie Rock scene who now records as a solo artist.
His first album, What Happens Now?, was released on Perimeter Records in 2000. It features contributions by other stalwarts of the Canadian music community including Matt Murphy (The Flashing Lights, Superfriendz) Charles Austin (Superfriendz), Michael Philip Wojewoda (Rheostatics) and Don Kerr (Rheostatics).
In 2004 Mike returned with a follow-up in the form of The Owl, an album written and recorded in Halifax, Nova Scotia and released by Zunior.com as their first digital-only offering. Aside from another guest appearance by Matt Murphy, everything on The Owl is played and sung by Mike himself. She Believes In Me (99% acoustic mix), a stripped-down version of one of The Owl's standout tracks was also included on The Our Power Solar Music Compilation, a Zunior.com charity album in support of solar power.
Mike also recently reunited with fellow Inbred, Dave Ullrich (head honcho of Zunior.com, currently fronting Egger) to record The Rheostatics' song Dope Fiends And Booze Hounds for a secret tribute album to that much-lauded Canadian band, appropriately titled Rheostatics Tribute - The Secret Sessions.
A follow-up to The Owl is also said to be in the works.
