Division One was formed in March 2012. Guitar player and lead vocalist, Brian Moroney, had written numerous songs on his own, but had realized that he wanted to take his talents in a new direction: writing and performing with a full band. He asked Cody Strolia (former Bassist) and Tommy (Lead Guitar) to jam one day, and after the successful practice, Division One took off. Joe Corson filled in on drums at the time while they were in search for a drummer. Joe also recorded drums on their first single, "My Kinda Girl" (released June 2012). Trevor Utz (current Bassist) then took over on drums for a few months while Joe filled a spot drumming for Chris Medina (American Idol Season 10 runner-up). As 2012 came to a close, Cody made the tough decision to leave the band. This wasn't the end of Division One. Joe is now back playing drums with Trevor taking over on bass.
