HYPERDOSE is a heavy alternative rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, founded by twin brothers Blake Mattea (guitar) and Justin Mattea (bass). The current lineup includes Kalen Perdue (lead vocals), Oniel Laffitte (guitar/programming), and Ryan Denys (drums).

HYPERDOSE combines heavy guitar riffs, atmospheric textures, powerful vocals, and melodic songwriting to create a modern sound rooted in alternative and active rock. After years of releases and live performances, 2026 marks a new chapter for the band with a new lineup, new music, and a growing schedule of shows across the country.
The band’s latest single, “The Space In Between,” was released July 24, 2026. The accompanying music video was produced by Billboard Top 40 Hard Rock Producer Chris Dawson (Any Given Sin, Seasons After, Saul, Silent Theory, Shallow Side, Outlier) and directed, filmed, and edited by Juan Ibanez (Atreyu, Sevendust, P.O.D.).

HYPERDOSE has been taking its new material on the road, sharing stages with bands including Silent Theory, Outlier, and Discrepancies, with additional touring dates continuing to fill the 2026 schedule.

The band’s catalog includes the 2023 EP ART OF YOU, featuring “NOT READY TO DIE,” recorded at Aphotic Studios in Wichita, Kansas, and produced by Chris Dawson.
Their 2018 EP DISASTER was recorded at Crosstrax Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, with Grammy-nominated producer Justin Rimer (12 Stones, Saving Abel, Wayland, Full Devil Jacket). The 2016 release IMPACT featured “COMING FOR YOU,” one of the band’s most recognized songs.

HYPERDOSE released its debut single, “TAKE CONTROL,” in April 2015, featuring guest vocals from Gabe Aranda of Aranda.
