Artist: Adam Lee Howell Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist THE INSPIRATION: Inspiration for the majority of my lyrics come from the combination of bouts of depression, love or lack of, continual seek of peace within my life and the struggles that I have overcome or keep combating. I try to contrast much of the writing process with the good, the bad, beautiful and the ugly ways of the world and my own spirituality and inner peace through faith, hope, love and most of all Charity, which is my mother's name, however in all aspects, “The greatest gift God gave to us to use”. THE SONGS: I have roughly seventy original songs that range in styles of blues, metal, rock, Americana, and folk music. I just love all genres of music, if it brings me some sort of emotion, I listen. If just one line from one song helps someone think with more clarity or makes a difference in someones life to help them feel some sort of comfort, emotion, and/or connection in a, sometimes, disconnected mass of confusion we call this short life before we reach our final destination...then I am a happy man. THE WRITING: I usually just write what pops into my head, heart, and soul without putting much actual thought into the process, but some songs are of course premeditated and are taking or have taken years to complete. What can I say I am what I hear, see, and experience, but that's not to say that originality is dead...more like a severely beaten horse that has been grasping it's final breath for the past 30 plus years. If I were to scrap every song that I thought sounded like someone else I would have quit years ago. So compare, critique, and comprehend my music with an open mind and heart.
