A band occupying sonic territory entirely their own, Bent Knee is “equal parts ingenuity and deliciousness” (The Wall Street Journal), distilling myriad influences into a seamless, thrilling whole. Since its inception in 2010, the Boston rock outfit has released six studio albums, each “break[ing] new stylistic and experimental ground” (The Boston Globe), merging texture and style into music that’s riveting, addictive, and unapologetically original. Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Courtney Swain, who also plays bass and keyboards in the band, the quartet is a juggling act between multi-instrumentalists, consisting of Chris Baum (violin, guitar, synth), Vince Welch (guitar, bass, sound design), and Gavin Wallace-Ailsworth (drums). NPR calls their music “mind boggling.
