A propos de Elephant Convoy

Elephant Convoy formed in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2013 orginally as an outlet for brothers Javier and Daniel Rodriguez and close friend Graham Rattray to connect over and collaborate within the genre they love: roots reggae. Their garage jam sessions led to playing house parties, which eventually led to gigs at small local venues and bars throughout North Carolina. The addition of new members to the band in 2014 helped solidify the big instrumental sound they are known for today and resulted in their debut album Foundation, along with regional tours up and down the East Coast. During this period of time, Elephant Convoy shared the stage with acts such as Tribal Seeds, Collie Buddz, The Expendables, J Boog, The Wailers, The Movement, Through The Roots & more. Venue highlights for the Convoy include playing at the coveted Irie Vibes Music Festival in Long Creek, South Carolina and the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. The band's lineup currently consists of Javier Rodriguez (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Daniel Rodriguez (Drums), Graham Rattray (Bass), Michael Eakins (Vocals/Lead Guitar), and Patrick Mosca (Keys). The band is currently working with prized producer Joel Aloise from Zion Within Productions and the award-wining studio Hourglass Studios on their second album that is due for release Summer '17. While the band's biggest influence remains the roots reggae genre that derived from Jamaica decades earlier, they also draw inspiration from the dancehall, electronic, and hip hop genres to create their authentically modern reggae sound. As a diverse group of individuals, the band's vision has always been to use music to create and preserve oneness between people from all walks of life. Their coastal attitude and socially conscious mindset show in their music through their use of heavy bass, driving melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics. There's nothing stopping this band from spreading their music and message to reggae music community and beyond. Reggae music based out of Wilmington, NC. Chant Down Corruption.
