About Napoleon IIIrd
Napoleon IIIrd is a highly original singer-songwriter from Leeds. His music is a tangle of sounds and melodies made from piles of antique organs and car-boot keyboards, strummed chords and driving glitch-beats. Many of his songs are world-weary comments on modern life, set against an expansive musical backdrop.
Napoleon IIIrd has released two early EPs and an album, entitled "In Debt To:", which met with widespread critical acclaim. The video for the lead single, the anthemic "Hit Schmooze For Me", featured Mr IIIrd persistently chasing a large blue bat, and was a regular fixture on MTV in 07/08.
He has also has a studio and has remixed artists including The Cribs, ¡Forward, Russia!, Sky Larkin and Los Campesinos, and played alongside bands as diverse as Hot Chip, The Research, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, BIshi and Jeremy Warmsley.
