Small tight venue which is ideal for her following. This isn't a crowd filled with "fans" that know 25% of an artist's content. About the whole crowd near damn near All the songs front to back. All that energy is funneled down to the stage.
I came in late so I didn't get anywhere near the front and I'm not big on tight quarters crowds so I fell back a bit. Visibility was a bit of a thing but that's on me being late and the venue having low ceilings (keeps sound banging down around you)- the stage is floor level but that's a venue gripe.
Anyone been to these shows knows what it is.
She's absolutely on fire right now in life and it all tracks.
Energy is up,vibe is up,crowd is hyped, hell even hype me. Hyped.
New album is one of the best this year because she is willing to break herself down and rebuild it to an evolved better harder form than the original..
A girl told me recently I was going through a glow up because I'm finally doing well again.
This is young m.A going through her own climb back to the top and there she will stand up for all of NY against whatever is said.
I am not certain how the Lacuna Coil performance was. Since I had to leave early due to my spouse becoming ill(and NO she was not related to the consumption of alcohol or anything else; She does not drink) She fell and injured herself, so we spent the remainder of the night in the local ER. We were at your venue primarily for Lacuna Coil , but the opening bands were amazing. You deserve at least 4 Stars. Please consider, however, allowing for re-entry that can be properly and accurately identified as patrons for the show. Otherwise…Well done.
P.S.
We are hoping that Lacuna Coil returns so we can actually see and enjoy the performance to the end.
Originally went to the show because I had the rent a car an extra day so I figure head out and enjoy the show last minute.
I've heard his music and I like it but not a h*******e fan. Me and my wife went and Creed made a fan out of us. He rocked the place out and he was very engaging with the audience. Although he sounds good recorded, he's phoenomenal live. Brings a lot of energy to his show. Bought his new album right after the show and playing it in my car every day.
Anytime he comes to town we're showing up.
Abi Carter stopped by Albany between her dates in NYC and the Boston area, and what a pleasure it was to finally see her live in concert.
I did the meet&greet, with other true fans, and it was well worth it. Acoustic songs by request, q&a and general chat. High quality and not rushed.
She is very talented and captivating in concert from the opening song and throughout with her solid band. A four song solo/acoustic set in the latter half on keyboards was just right leading towards the finale.
No amount of dark kept me away from this show nor any future one for this star/idol and she is well deserving of being a superstar one day.

Hot, sweaty, and way too crowded at Empire Live in Albany, just the way an Indie Rock show should be. A homecoming of sorts for Phantogram (they originated in nearby Greenwich NY of all places), with this mid-tour stop. And they were freakin' great. Sarah's stage presence and performance level continues to evolve and grow, and so does Josh's. They had the crowd mesmerized, and the song selection was really good. I mean they REALLY played!
Still, I would have liked to have heard more from the newest album Memory of a Day, such a fantastic album. I guess I would have liked to have heard more overall - they only played an hour and a half and that's about the only negative thing about this show.
Opening act Open Mike Eagle was pretty fun and entertaining, not really my kind of thing though he seemed to really connect with the crowd. However he played his DJ/Hip Hop performance a bit too long, or at least too long for me, at 45 minutes.
Also saw Phantogram do a short hour-long "DJ Set" recently here at the same place in December 2024, a few days before Christmas. Before this I think it was 2018 when I last saw them. So now this show was timely as a full performance gig, so great to see them again. If they're coming anywhere near you, don't miss the show, don't miss this tour.
Amazing finally got to meet them after the last three times I saw them on the Trinity of terror tour and found out about creeper now I love them too ! Hope to see them come back soon close to me the Syracuse / Utica location
I had V.i.P for the Darien Lake Concert but I wasn't able to go to that one unfortunately
BEST SHOW EVER.
ANTHONY PUTS HIS SOUL INTO HIS MUSIC. I JUST WISH HE READ THESE THINGS.
HE TOOK THE TIME AFTER THE SHOW TO SIGN A SHIRT FOR ME THAT I COULDNT BRING MYSELF TO ASK HIM TO SIGN AT THE VIP MEET AND GREET BECAUSE IT WAS NOT CLEAR IF WE WERE ALLOWED TO ASK, I WISH THESE THINGS WERE MORE FORWARD. ANTHONY IS THE GREATEST MAN.... HIS VIBE AND EVERYTHING... I JUST WISH WE COULD HAVE HIM COME BACK WITH THE DUNES MAN !!!
Best metal concert I've been to. It felt very spiritual, very primordial. These guys, and Funeral Portrait definitely raised the roof last night. I spoke to people who had zero expectations and they loved it. I, being one of them. These guys are a must watch. Stand up front. You can feel the music in your lungs. The concert euphoria was very real with them
The venue was big, the staff were ok that worked for empire live were ok. The crew for bowling for soup were excellent. The show that bowling for soup put on was marvelous. The vip was awesome. I can't wait for another trip. But don't do the blood marrow thing. It's freaky. Other than that jaret, rob, Gary did one hell of a show!! Thank you!!
Great show!! Very high energy, very crowded and sweaty and extremely hot (it was a sold out show) but it was worth all of the sweat and crowding because Beartooth absolutely killed it, tore it up, and buried it. Best show I've been to so far at this venue, one of my favorite shows of all time by far!! Would see them again in a hearbeat if the opportunity arises!! Caleb Shomo is a showman and a true rockstar in my book!!
The show was really great right from the opening artist. Natalia Taylar was really great she has an amazing voice, as does Julia Bullock, the lead singer for the Foxies. Now, being a country music fan going to a punk rock show in a tiny little venue, I wasn't sure what to expect. There were times throughout the show that the music, particularly the drums, overpowered the vocals, especially during the foxies performance. You just could hear the lyrics. Even Cassadee's performance was affected by the loud music, though she had a much stronger voice than her openers so you could hear most of her lyrics. Now, I'm not sure if it was the acoustics of the venue or if the vocal sound wasn't turned up enough to break through the music. There were acoustic moments that were absolutely spectacular from Cassadee's VIP performance, Natalia's cover of a Selena Gomez track and a cover of Avril Lavigne's Complcated where Cassadee brought out both Natalia and Julia to accompany her. All the artists were super energetic as well as super entertaining ave very personable mingling and meeting with the crowd and allowing pictures. I even got my guitar signed. All in all, it was a great show. It was a great experience. I had a lot of fun.

First time seeing a show at Empire Live. Quirky venue to say the least. As I walked through the doors I found myself wondering how the heck CWG got booked here and what he must have thought when he first walked in. I have to say that I’m grateful to have seen his show here among about 1,000 capacity. CWG was amazing! Sound was great and my initial impression was surpassed by the overall experience.
Face absolutely melted. I hadn’t seen them in years and came back so excited for the first time last night and that SUCH a top tier experience. I had a blast even though it was insanely crowded, because I anticipated it would be. Intimate setting for a great band normally in larger venues. Being up front was PACKED with energy and their jams realllly scratched that itch in my soul. I feel great.
Love Love Love Kip Moore!! Was not a fan of the venue. It was too crowded, you couldn't even move to get close or even to go back towards the back. A girl got separated from her group and people around were giving her issues about moving up to get back with them. Kip please pick a different venue next time!
Incredible show. One of my bucket list bands. COVID did in a nearby show so jumped on this. Long overdue. Lots of signed merch and other goodies. I didn’t drink but feel like I have a hangover. Punched me in the face that hard.
Mr Phzzz hope I spelled it right kicked a*s as well. Don’t hesitate. Go get tickets.
Great show, they’re trying out a lot of stuff and growing, so I like that- with their increasing back catalogue they could put together a killer set list, but chose to add newer stuff (again, not a problem) but I must admit there were a few tunes that I wanted to hear and didn’t—- overall — killer show- their travels in Europe have honed them.
The venue was not that great, it’s too narrow, like you’re seeing a band in a wide hallway. Sound was good at the front of house, but horrible in the back
What a nostalgic, fantastic show! I hadn’t seen this band since I was a teenager and they had a new guitarist since then. I was so fulfilled with the show!! I danced in the front row and ended up vibing with great people, we got a great performance.
Five stars for sure, my husband is sold on them now and we made some new friends to see shows with!!
Outstanding. I saw them at the Albany vfw in 85 or 86 if memory serves. Took my son and we had a fantastic time. Band was great. Vinnie Stigma was super nice. My son asked for a pick and he grabbed him one. Wish I brought some vinyls to sign. Did not think they would be so approachable. Next time.
I won tickets to this concert and listened to St. Vincent in the past but nothing recently. Never realized she has such amazing guitar skills and the songs sound even better in person, such a rocker! Also loved how she and the band and backup singers all interacted with each other. They weren’t just stuck in their places on stage the whole time. Everyone had a chance to be seen and heard.
Great show, new opening band Brkn Love started the show off right. Since '68 followed up and were amazing. Badflower played all the crowd favorites and did not disappoint. Nice small venue, no issues other than I found it odd no metal detectors to get into the show. Opening bands sold their own merch and took time to talk to people and take photos. Great time, my son and I drove from Maine, just under 4 hours but it was worth it.
