Boz Scaggs sounded amazing. My only disappointment was that he did not play Georgia, Jojo, We're All Alone, and Look What You've Done To Me. I should have checked setlist.com to see that he wasn't going to play those songs.
Fantastic show! He never disappoints, have seen him a number of times. His band was incredible, his voice sounds phenomenal, true musicianship all around.
A fantastic show at a great venue! Boz is still on his game, at 81! He focused on his blues, jazz arrangements mostly, but made sure to throw in a few hits too. The acoustics at Hill Auditorium are flawless - you can hear EVERY note. Loved the show.
One of the most engaging, incredible, perfect, and magical concerts I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending! You left the concert hall feeling like you really knew Jacob on a personal level! This will truly be a core memory in my life! Love you Jacob!
All opening performances were great. Her set was a solo stripped down emotional show. The acoustics were fantastic at Hill Auditorium. There was a slightly unsatisfying finish with an airy mood & no finale. It would have been nice to see performers do a collaborative number.
I truly enjoyed their performance. The group was very professional. I would definitely go to another concert that they are giving or performing in. Love them.
Highly recommend seeing this concert if you can. Excellent variety of world music styles focused around railroads. Musicianship and composition of the highest caliber.
the most moved i have been by a concert in a while. i go to my fair share of shows and when i tell you Gregroy and his band are a MUST see i am not exaggerating. Every song hits you to your core and every note is played exactly how you want it to be. Even from balcony seats I felt close to the band. The opener, Mon Rovia, was fantastic as well. Truly amazing artists up there and I cant wait till I have the opportunity to see them again.
Event delayed due to weather. This might explain poor sound and hardly any lighting. Still I enjoyed the show. Just expected better like previous Isbell shows I have seen.
Amazing show, near 2 hour set with a nice mix of the band’s collection. While I love their albums, hearing them live is a wholly different experience. The variety of guitar tones and solid mix of solos, the now two drum kits, and honestly very little will compare to Jason’s vocals… hearing him belt out Cover Me up and Middle of the Morning… holy s***! If you get the opportunity to see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit do it!
What a phenomenal show! The venue was beautiful, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra was just extraordinary, and so was Cody Fry! The tickets were a gift for our daughter, who introduced us to the artist, and we absolutely enjoyed it just as much as she did! The staff at the venue were so friendly and helpful, overall it was such a wonderful night.
He seemed to be very thankful and gracious as any hard working performer who is able to post bills by playing music. Appreciative of his musical upbringing. He singled out the music teachers in the audience, which I thought was excellent. Classical orchestral pieces with movie soundtracks and his own music was excellent. I never thought I'd hear la la Land, Harry Potter and Gustav holtz Mars at the same concert. Let alone his amazing arrangements and music. I would see him again for sure
