This was such a unique event and show that I left very grateful. There could always be more lights shown across the stage but overall it was beautiful and I would definitely go again.
We have been looking forward to watching Tony de Sare perform live and we had this chance when he came to Seattle. He didn't disappoint us at all. His guests, Aubrey Logan and John Manzari were excellent as well. Needless to say, we are proud to have our very own Seattle Symphony Orchestra backing them up. (Our show was cut short towards the end due to a fire alarm asking everyone to evacuate the building!) We had a great time!
Great concert. I've followed these guys for over 35 years (since the late 1980's) and they keep getting better. I have been to more than 5 Christmas concrrts and they continuously nail it.
I’m not sure why it won’t let me give five stars, but their show is worth TEN! Humor, music (incredible arrangements and the instrumentalists who accompany are mind-blowing on their own), audience interaction and participation. Their show has it all. I’ve seen them five times, and I’ll go back for a sixth!
This was the BEST show I’ve been to and Renee has beautiful showmanship. She treats her bandmates with respect and the crowd was deeply moved by the ENTIRE performance. I would go to another show in a heartbeat.
This was my first time to Benaroya Hall, and only the second time that I've seen Andrew Bird perform. The venue is lovely! I love all of the nooks and levels for hanging out before/between performances, and the box seats are a lovely experience. I am very excited about the fact that I have another performance to see there in November! It was quite a treat to see Andrew Bird and Seattle Symphony perform together; they worked naturally well together and complemented each other. My husband had not seen Andrew Bird before, and he was rightfully impressed with Andrew's talent (maybe especially his whistling skills, but his abilities are so varied that one can't help but be impressed). And entertained, of course!
We had the absolute pleasure of seeing Andrew Bird perform The Mysterious Production of Eggs with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. Celebrating the album’s 20th anniversary, Bird’s performance was nothing short of breathtaking. The venue was stunning, the sound was pristine, and the synergy between Bird’s artistry and the orchestra’s depth created an unforgettable experience. From his hypnotic violin work to his signature whistling, every moment was a masterclass in musical storytelling. A truly transcendent evening.
I couldn't be more happy. I'm going to be riding this high for as long as possible. I would so love to see him in Chicago as well. He is my favorite musician on the planet what a jewel of a venue.
Benaroya metal directors delayed the concert. BS. We work and need to get up. They owe us 10% refund.
Mr Simon was gentle, introspective and his performance was sublime and fantastic.
Amazing !!! Supporting youth for a good cause and as always, his performance is just or even better than the recorded music! Such amazing artist! Just wish he had more time or at least added 2 more songs.
The format just didn't work. Fran was interviewed by a local author for 30 minutes - that was great. But then an hour was
scheduled for questions from the audience, with no microphone, so Fran couldn't hear almost anything. And instead of a person asking a question, for the most part s/he would start with a long, rambling sentence that Fran couldn't hear. Gradually people grew frustrated and started leaving in twos and threes. Would much rather have heard a lot more from Fran.
Nobody else I know plays as far out and brings it back home again, for such a solid landing,, as quickly, as frequently, as playfully, and in as many different ways, as Bruce. The new songs and classic arrangements with yMusic were very cool, too - a very musical listening experience, I spent the whole time entranced, no chemical enhancements necessary.
It was a truly wonderful performance. The pianist, Steven Osborne, was a delight to watch and hear perform - very talented. Same goes to the conductor, Kevin John Edusei - and what a style! It’s worth mentioning that his blazer was supremely epic. Bravo!
Great show! Incredible venue. Also for a great cause. Felt like we were just chilling in Eddie’s house while he played. I regret not going the first night as well.
A fun-filled, laugh out-loud evening that combines brilliant acappella music with hilarious comedy! An entertaining outing for the whole family, a date night, or anyone looking for good cheer and joy to fill the holiday season! I highly recommend The Coats.
I loved this concert. It was so beautiful. The Shaw’s are I situational to me. I’ve been following them from the beginning. And so enjoyed seeing them in person. I traveled from Montana to see this show.
Jim was amazing also.
This show was epic! Glen and Eddie were high energy, played for over two hours, and showed their amazing musicianship and strong voices. Highly recommend seeing them live!!
