The Schizophonics were off the hook! I meet people at the show who where there to see one of the other two bands and had not heard of the SCHIZOPHONICS which my reply was get ready to see a band and a set you’ll never forget, and then talking with those people after their set … they were blown away! I was at the show to see the Schizophonics and got to see Strawberry Fuzz and Plague Vendor who were awesome and there fans had great energy!
Jesse is the man! This was our third of four shows and the band didn’t disappoint. Truly one of the best live acts around and the way he engages the crowd is masterful! He came out before the show and took some photos with the early birds. So very cool. Highly, highly recommend seeing them.
I saw Husker Du in '85. Saw Sugar about 10 years later. In 2025 Bob Mould has as much energy and passion on the stage as he ever has. He pulled so much fire & emotion out of that Stratocaster! I am amazed everytime I see him play. This set had songs from his new album, older solo stuff, and worked backwards in time to some Husker Du classics. As a fan for 30-some years, I couldn't have asked for more.
A true professional and an amazing artist, supported by his nephew and exceptional artist in his own right, Dan Kelly, we were treated to an intimate experience I'll never forget. Seated in an auditorium of around 100 guests we each had the privilege to ask each other "so, how do YOU know Paul?" as if we were old mates....
Paul's enjoyed his career longer than I've enjoyed being alive and his carefully curated setlist took us on a journey back through each decade and every album... And some yet to be released!
For an Aussie who has lived in the USA for 10 years now, Paul's music made me heartsick and grateful in a way words cannot express. Cheers Dan for the setlist, you b****y ripper!
Great show! I have not seen them in a while, and they are every bit as good as I remember! Played a selection of hits from the past and mixed in some new ones too. Their playing has improved over the years they really are at their peak!
Had an absolute blast! Venue was surprisingly spacious, had two bars, and the audio mix was good across all performers. Belmont’s voice started hurting in the last few songs he sang and had to cut the show short by a song or two but over all amazing experience!
Holy c**p! I discovered Warbringer after reading an online article about them. How could I not listen to a band called Warbringer and a song named Remain Violent! Saw them for the second time at the Teragram Ballroom in their home town of LA! What a f****n show!!! Crowdsurfing, stage driving and LA trash metal! If you ever get to see a band in their hometown all I can say is DO IT! They go HARD! Warbringer you have a fan for life
Sang a little “DITTY” for “ZHORA” & “PRIS” (Blade Runner 1982) at the meet and greet before the show!!! I suggested and “OPEN MARRIAGE “ so they could stay together for us kids … keep Hope alive!! First saw them in 2013 at the Soda Bar San Diego been to every show since. Comparison is the thief of joy, but Lindsey’s distortion and tremolo LINK WRAY “Rumble” (only song to be banned on AM radio) style is a wonder to behold on top of that great voice!!! Then you have Julie‘s Zep style on drums, amazing!!! I called them “ ORIGINATORS, NOT IMITATORS” greatest” two piece “female band EVER!!!
I will miss them dearly !!!
The Teragram Ball is a FANTASTIC venue to catch your favorite Band/Artists!
BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT threw one he'll of a show!! AVA MAYBEE and NOT A TOY were Great Openers!! I Originally went to see AVA but NOT A TOY won me over with there performance and BSD won a FAN FOR LIFE !!
GREAT SHOW by EVERYONE!!
Best concert I’ve ever been to (and I see a show every week). Patrick’s heart and soul go into his performances and you feel like you’re in the living room with your best friend who is wise and deep and also happens to be a guitar god. The energy is magnetic and healing and memorable. Go check him out ❤️
Absolutely amazing. The venue was top notch. Top class people. The food and drink were amazing, the staff at the club were SOOO cool. Prices were great. Place was clean. The bans were amazing, loved all three. TKC was so much what i wanted - that band is great. What a great night.
They are still a really good band. I was surprised at how much their new stuff sounds like their old stuff. Sure, I lived on the first four albums for a long time (being from Los Angeles). I would have wanted more (~90 minute set), and more songs off the first four, but all in all, it was great. I would see them again in a heartbeat.
I love Yo La Tengo. I would have loved to see the show except that a/ it wasn't being staged in San Diego County and b/ it was already sold out when you sent me the notice. So I didn't go. But your AI robot seems to think I did. Interesting.
This was my third time seeing Scarypoolparty in concert (Oct. 2021, June 2022, Dec. 2022) and, as always, he did not disappoint! Something I appreciate about his performances is that he always keeps it fresh, playing a different setlist or switching between band or solo acoustic. This show spanned all of his albums, including one of my favorites, “Paradise.” Besides his epic talent and fun personality, I’d say the most special and memorable aspect to me is how he is always authentic when talking to the audience, and is willing to be vulnerable. These moments in the realm of live music in small, personal venues are everything. Thank you once again, Alejandro!
Fantastic welcome back to Los Angeles after 5 long years. Great to hear songs from Supernormal and Raw Data Feel played live. The crowd was actually singing along and nearly sold out. Huge difference from 2017. All band shirts at the merch table sold out, too! Amazing 4-song encore. What a delight to see Kemosabe played live. Aces all around. Great job, gents.
The opening act, Steady Holiday was an amazing surprise as her talent was beyond what I was expecting. I hadn't heard of them before. The crowd talked a bit too much but once she started her solo performance, the crowd was silenced with the beautiful music that came from the stage. Yeasayer had a lot to live up to after that performance and they definitely lived up to it as they took a journey through their entire discography. Hands down the best show I've been to this year.
As always, they (Nor did Evan Dando😍😍😍) fail to disappoint. Though I am biased and could listen to them al day long! Newer stuff amazing... how do they do it?!? Stay relevant in this mush-pot of terrible bands that rip off bands?? Well, flattery, they say... 🤷🏻♀️ Nevertheless, there are so many others that pull this off... The Jesus & Mary Chain, Howe Gelb,, Giant Sand, Elvis Costello, The Melvins, X, John Doe, Nine Inch Nails, Patti Smith, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Built To Spill, Slam Dunk, His Eyes Have Fangs!! 🖤 (even b****y Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson & The Rolling Stones just toured!!) Don’t forget Belle and Sebastian, Jonny Marr, Portishead-If you can find them-Depeche Mode, Squeeze, The Libertines, Jarvis Cocker, Charlotte Gainsborough,❤️ etc. Too many to list... But yeah... Evan Dando & the Lemonheads! 👍🏻❤️
So get out there & see some good bands!! 😍😎
The band is very talented. I really enjoyed their earlier stuff, especially (Beyond the permafrost.) The crowd sucked. Too many snowflake hipsters, that scattered like a herd of sheep, when a pit opened up. When it did, it was the weakest pit ever. The frontman didnt interact with the crowd enough to get everyone going. I could see how frustrated they were with the crowd. If they played more older stuff, I would have given a higher score.
Youth Code brings intensity like no other. You could tell that a majority of the crowd really came for HEALTH, and large areas of the crowd weren’t sure what to make of Youth Code early in the set, but Sarah’s explosive charisma won everyone over and they were all jumping at the end. 6/5.
I really really loved this band! The crowd was incredible as well. It was a fantastic show. They keep growing on me from high Sierra to burning man, to intimate venues in los angeles. Such a great vibe. I won't miss them if they are close. Love you guys if you ever read this!
