Rudy De Anda consistently delivers exceptional performances. This particular show surpassed his usual standards by incorporating new arrangements of existing songs, which captivated the audience and encouraged participation. I highly recommend attending a performance at Schubas, as its intimate venue provides an unparalleled opportunity for an up-close and personal experience with talented artists.
When Noah Guy sauntered on Schubas’ stage on a Tuesday night in a hat not too far off from the one Jack Harlow refuses to take off, t*********e tank top and chain, I knew I was in for a treat. A set built on sincerity that’s warm, unpolished and fully committed to feeling.

An outstanding musical and visual performance. A rising songstress with a unique sound and artistry. Quiet Light is a recent discovery that exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to more music and a follow up concert. And the opening Lipsticism provided an outstanding warmup for an evening to be remembered. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely wonderful time, seeing her in person was amazing! Her voice is just as magical in person as it is recorded, and the crowd was incredibly kind. Me and my 2 brothers got photos with her and signed post cards after the show was over for free as well! Hoping to see merch at the next concert of hers I attend!
The show was out of this world absolutely amazing 👏 best performer to come to the city thus far. The nite was such a vibe , the actual venue was spacious and clean very well put together. Opening acts were a pleasure to watch as well. Definitely hyped up Chicago amid Michael Jackson movie release.
Excellent performance by both bands! A highlight and memorable experience for this year and beyond! Mint Field’s guitar duo is reminiscent of My B****y Valentine and Sonic Youth but also completely original in their methods. The opening band, Almost There But Not Really took Schubas by storm with their melodic shoegaze and driving bass, guitar, and drum work. Both bands are highly recommended for their unique sounds!
I’ve been a Leap fan for a while, so I was super excited to find out they were doing a US tour. I saw them in Chicago, and the show was INCREDIBLE! Leap is absolutely amazing live, genuinely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Their energy was phenomenal, they really got the crowd into it, and their sound was so good. They sound great in studio recordings, but they’re even better live. I also really loved the small venue, we were right up close to the stage. And I love the way they interacted with the crowd; they wanted to meet everyone individually after the show, which was so cool!! And they were so nice! They talked to everyone like they were old friends, and genuinely thanked everyone for coming. And they took the time to have conversations with the fans too, not just a hi and bye, which impressed me. I would see them again in a heartbeat. Can’t wait for their next US tour!!
The venue is very cool but small. Every ticket sold, so the place was full. Great energy, excellent performance, and singer Jack has excellent crowd control. The band members are also nice and were happy to chat, take pictures, and sign things after the show.
Bluphoria was also quite good and I appreciate their song regarding everything going on.
I feel very lucky to have been able to see this show... They'll need a longer tour and bigger venues next time.
Durand Bernarr is musical ecstasy! His vocal range, his flow and his style are unmatched and unlike anything I’ve seen or heard lately! He is the only artist since Prince passed away that has been able to lock me in! He is absolutely incredible!
Alt Bloom gives all the good vibes and energy. Interacting with the crowd a bunch, bringing us all together to sing along, sway/dance together... His upbeat songs make you just want to bob your head every time. His slower songs, beautiful and show off his vocal ability even more. I always invite my friends and will always come to support him.
and his craft/art.
I've been obsessed with Hunter Metts' music for the past couple of months since I discovered him. When I found out he was gonna be in Chicago I was so excited. I was not only able to hear his music in person, but I was able to meet him! his music means so much to me, best night of my life.
Janine is a true angel. Her voice, look and performance were 100/10. We had vip tickets meet and greet tickets, which we were almost an hour late to check in and she still made the time to meet with us. ❤️ The energy at this show will be something I will cherish forever.
Karina Rykman continues to be one of the best live shows since they began. The whole band is even tighter than they were when I first saw them almost 2 years ago to the day. Don't miss em if you have a chance. You will regret it
Lisa was exuberant and authentic, her stories engaging and witty! She told the audience this was her first time performing in Chicago-why, I ask! Schuba's sound was not overwhelming for the smallness of its space but Lisa sounded rich and powerful! She played for over 90 minutes without a break playing old and new songs singing in her "frenglish"style, both French and English, an array of folk, disco and punk rock songs from her vast collection! What a treat to see her perform!
Wow… what a small intimate venue, great atmosphere and vibes all around, she put on a great show, her voice ughhh perfect! Her album has been on heavy rotation for me ever since it came out so to hear it live finally, 10, 10, 10’s
Genuinely one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen. The way Liza connects with their fans between songs is rivaled only by their sheer talent as a songwriter and performer. Go for the music, stay for the personality - of vice versa, you’re onto something amazing either way.
She talked to the gas a lot and was soo kind! He concert was LIT!! She brought people on stage and interacted to the crowds. The only way it could have been better is is she wasn’t late, but things happen. I believe the car she was in broke down because when she was leaving the car she was in broke down. Overall a really really great show and I had a really great time! 🕊
Very probably the best live show I've ever been to. Saintseneca play wonderfully and beautifully together, and their musicianship and joy come through in every song from first to last. From gentle melodies and captivating harmonies to glorious foot-stomping rock outs, the set list and the performance were superb. Consummate artistry. Schuba's, too, was the perfect venue.
the show was amazingggg. the crowd was so excited and happy to see them and so was i. they mostly performed unreleased songs from their upcoming album but they are really chill performers. they mostly just vibe with the audience and make it a comfortable space. would love to see them again!
AMAZING! I’ve been waiting to hear for over a year now! I’ve always been under the age limit to go to there venues, but luckily last night was all ages! The opening acts were so great and I even got to meet Ryan (the guitar player) before they performed! He was so sweet :) I hope I can see them again soon!!
