FestivalFlame Azalea Festival 2026

Tucked into the Smokies just off the Cherohala Skyway, the Flame Azalea Festival is a one-day, all-ages mountain music gathering timed to the bloom of the rare stand of native azaleas located on Hooper Bald. Admission is free, with donations going to Graham County Fire & Rescue.

Expect a day of bluegrass, Americana, and traditional Appalachian sounds set against a backdrop of blooming flame azaleas, Cherokee cultural demonstrations, live glass-blowing, a food truck court, and self-guided hikes through the "azalea maze" on Hooper Bald.
