Long Way South

Long Way South bring you the best vintage high energy Punk, New Wave, Indie and Britpop. With songs from artists such as the Sex Pistols, Ramones, the Clash, Green Day, Blur and Oasis they create a nostalgic atmosphere for those of us old enough to remember while making it exciting and fresh for those new to the music.

Formed in 2013, Long Way South is four Brit ex-pats who grew up enjoying the punk/alternative scene in the late seventies and followed its evolution into the Britpop movement during the 90's.

Gaz, the vocalist and sometimes guitarist is the veteran of many bands over the years including the Voodoo Police and Not the Jam, one of the UK's top tribute bands to The Jam.

Jim, the lead guitarist has been playing guitar since he was young and played in bands throughout the 80's. He is the band's tech whizz who edits and mixes all the videos and recordings.

Migs is the real musician in the band having been classically trained in piano from a young age. He plays bass in Long Way South but also plays clarinet and guitar and is trying to find an excuse to play theremin.

Tinny, the drummer, has played in various punk bands in the UK for over 30 years and has recorded various EP's and albums on independent labels. Previous bands include Painsville, Jungle Lab and most notably Flyboy, who were part of the Midlands hardcore punk scene.
