Freaks On A Leash Biography
Freaks On A Leash: A Tribute to KORN
Freaks On A Leash was formed when a group of successful musicians decided to group together to form a Tribute show to one of the greatest bands from the past 20 years, KORN. The groups official lineup was complete in 2012 when discussions came up at the Musicians trade show NAMM in Los Angeles. Each member has had success traveling and sharing stages with some big named acts across the country. Singer Mike Smith and Bassist Rich Lowery moved back to Ohio from LA after sharing stages with, Poison, Steve Vai and others and enlisting Guitarist Jeff Beck (former Elijah Black, Motherload) to start a new project. Tim Zuver (US Metal, Rage for Order) was currently on the road with his band the Sickness, and decided he needed a change. He decided to become the second vocalist in the band. The four of them decided to enlist Damin Bennett from Akron Ohio’s top Metal band Motherload and Terry Salem. Terry had success with Winters Bane, British Steel, and Seattle all which Tim “Ripper” Owens of Judas Priest fame was a member, sharing stages with Dream Theatre, Weezer, Savatage (Trans Siberian Orchestra members). The band spent the first part of 2013 perfecting their song list of bands they have loved and listened for years. The second half of 2013 they appeared at their first show at Ripper Owens famous RockHouse with a full venue. Freaks On A Leash is currently on tour and will be performing many shows throughout the Midwest region.
