Ripple Illusion

Ripple Illusion is a wave of rock and roll that kicks up remnants of funk, blues and surf. Its modern vintage sound explores the eras of 60's psychedelia and 90's alternative Culture. Their invigorating performances have helped them gain quick inroads into the Western Canadian music scene. Their overwhelmingly positive reception has resulted in multiple festival appearances. The band plans to release and tour their EP "Creature" across Canada in the fall of 2017. The band got its beginnings when frontman Mike Turner and guitarist Caroline Allatt bonded over blues jams on back porches and dive bars in and around East Vancouver. Only when having drummer extroadinaire Connor Brooks however did their sound really take flight. The band quickly hit the road and bonded together, making a musical friendship that took them throughout Western Canada and culminating in their first Festival Appearance at Tiny Lights in Ymir BC. Having now picked up the smooth sailing Dennis Law on bass, the band is poised to release its debut full length in 2017. Vancouver's Ripple Illusion is a fresh take on a retro sound, blending funk, motown, soul and rock and roll.
