DESTENEE BIO In a recent article on emerging recording music artist titled The Fate Of DesteneeMusic, Music Connection Magazine said it best about young gifted vocalist, songwriter, record producer and all around musical powerhouse: “Every now and then an artist shows up for the whole world to adore.” , a multicultural force of musical Destenee nature, is breaking ground in the music industry with her purely DIY work ethic. , a skilled music producer used her abilities to write, compose, record, engineer, and play all the instruments on her debut studio album. Her single Illuminate is already on the top of the Billboard Charts at position #2 on the Dance Charts and Position #4 on the Singles Chart. “Since moving from Boston to Los Angeles to follow her dreams”, she says, “I’ve been on quite a journey. I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from many talented people in the entertainment world. My music is a reflection of who I am and what I go through on a regular basis, which is a blend of just about everything. I’ve taken inspiration from many different areas to create my own sound. My mom is Spanish and you can hear it in my songs. She loves Mariah Carey and a lot of people say that I sound like Mariah Carey. I LOVE to dance and dramatic music dynamics, so naturally I gravitated towards EDM.” she states. “I’m a big fan of contrast and I love to combine pretty vocals with heavy synths while adding live instruments to create an organic feel within the dirt (laughs). Destenee has been garnering fans from her performances at hundreds of high schools, middle schools, colleges and universities across the country and she is becoming an international sensation invading the radio airwaves all over the world. Destenee writes with depth and honesty as she opens up on her single “Illuminate” about how the overwhelming power of love. The song has beautiful melodies with an epic build that drops with a heart pumping electro-house drop that leaves the listener craving for more. The single “Delirium” is contagious with its suggestion of the joy in creating one’s own reality. On all her songs, she cleverly delivers head bobbing danceable tracks and powerful vocal performances. “Writing songs, making music and performing, is the greatest high on earth for me. There’s nothing like creating an experience for someone, whether its live or on a recording, where you can take people away from their ordinary lives for a moment, and bring them into a whole other world” she says. In addition to producing her own album, has taken onto producing her very own music festival and naming it Flight Of The Dov Festival – Dov Fest for short. “Many of my fans are in their teens and aren’t able to come out to most of my shows. I wanted to create a fun and safe environment where they would enjoy my music. I designed the Dov Fest to be a place where I would love to go to myself. I enjoy amusement rides, games, good food, and great music! Then I talked to other fellow artists and invited them to take part.” she states. The 1st Dov Fest was held in conjunction with the City Of Los Angeles LAYOM is a mini-hybrid of Coachella and EDC. The 2014 Dov Fest is a much larger enterprise and it is being held in Cuyama, Santa Barbara County. Its a fantastic venue and the fans are going to love it!
