Christy & the Professors

Christy & The Professors started out as an argument between a husband (Nathan) & wife (Christy). Christy had hidden her talent for years due to extreme stage fright. Frustrated, Nathan finally told Christy that it was time for her to step out and that he believed in her music so much that he would learn how to play the bass. And, so he did! They started out as Christy and The Professor...being that Nathan is actually a professor. Eventually they decided that they would like to have a full band. So, a group of friends got together and had fun! Much to their surprise people were interested and the buzz began. While recording their first EP, local guitarist Shane Pitmon heard & asked if he could join which brought their sound to a whole new level. Adding Michael Benson (guitar/keys) and Jared Kono (drums) to the lineup rounded out the sonic landscape. A rock band full of heart. Powerful vocals. Thought-provoking, uplifting lyrics.
