Modern Pantheist

Modern Pantheist started in the summer of 2013 when singer/songwriter Chris Anderson, drummer Dave Ferrara, and mult-instrumentalist Chris Sandler began experimenting with loud noises in Dave’s drum lair in downtown Los Angeles. Those loud noises quickly turned into polished pop songs while preserving the inspired eccentric sounds. Ezequiel Dobrovsky (Zeke) has since joined the band, lending his mad fingers to the keys and synths. Sonically, Modern Pantheist floats somewhere in the orbit of rock-psych-pop, though there is an undertone of danceability and funk that permeates the live shows. The songs are by turns trippy, heartfelt and on the floor rock n' roll. LA radio station KCRW’s Eric J. Lawrence described the band’s sound as having a “Beck-like sense of screwball pop.” Since 2013, the group has toured across the country, made music videos, and recorded a couple full length albums. Currently they are working on new material...in the drum lair. Modern Pantheist is a psychedelic rock band, an exploration in song and sound.
