Modern swing, jazz history, and 1920s elegance in Austin’s newest Prohibition-style jazz lounge.
Join pianist Hank Hehmsoth and trio for an evening of swing, standards, and modern jazz in the intimate Art Deco setting of Nica on 4th. Between sets, Hank shares stories about Baroness Pannonica de Koenigswarter — the legendary jazz patron who supported Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and many of the great bebop musicians.
Live jazz, storytelling, and classic cocktail lounge atmosphere in downtown Austin.

Jazz pianist, composer, and visual artist Hank Hehmsoth is a leading voice in Austin’s modern jazz scene. Known for lyrical improvisation, cinematic harmony, and cross-disciplinary creativity, his work bridges contemporary jazz and abstract visual art.
Based in Austin, Hehmsoth leads the acoustic quartet Double Vision with saxophonist John Mills, bassist Utah Hamrick, and drummer Aaron Easley. Their album Blu-Escape features nine original compositions and was highlighted by All About Jazz and SiriusXM Real Jazz. The group showcased at SXSW 2024 and made a live television appearance on Fox 7 Austin in 2025.
Beyond the bandstand, Hehmsoth is founder of Time Space Fabrics (TSF), a multidisciplinary arts label combining original music, visual art, and performance. His abstract paintings—often connected to his compositions—have been exhibited throughout Texas.

Great chemistry on stage, strong solos, and a tight rhythm section.
