Fundacja Sonus Cantus ma zaszczyt zaprosić na pełne zadumy i refleksji spotkanie z muzyką M. Duruflé. Usłyszymy Requiem tego wspaniałego dwudziestowiecznego francuskiego kompozytora. Dzieło wybrzmiewa przepiękną harmonią i niebiańskimi melodiami nawiązującymi do chorału gregoriańskiego. Koniec października w szczególny sposób sprzyja rozważaniom o przemijaniu. Nastrój tych dni będzie wpisywał się w charakter koncertu.

Artist bio
Founded in 2024 and led by Katarzyna Ganczarska, the Sonus Cantus Chamber Choir is based in Szczecin, Poland. This ensemble primarily focuses on performing early music, but also embraces contemporary compositions. The choir has performed several concerts in Poland, the USA, Germany, and Italy, quickly establishing itself as a noteworthy ensemble.
Continuing its artistic ascent, the choir was awarded the Grand Prix at the 11th National Early Music Choral Competition „Ars Longa” in Poznań in 2025, receiving the Golden Longa and a special distinction for its interpretation of Gorczycki's „Rorate caeli desuper”. International appearances have included performances at Carnegie Hall in New York, where the ensemble participated in the world premieres of „Lacrimosa” by Mark Nowakowski and Norbert Palej's „Ordo Coronationis”. In recent projects, the choir has expanded the boundaries of early music performance by placing historical choral repertoire in creative dialogue with improvised saxophone and percussion, in collaboration with Tomasz Licak and Krzysztof Kołłątaj.
Bringing together individuals from various professions, the choir members believe their diversity is a significant strength. Despite these varied backgrounds, what unites each member is a shared love of singing. With the motto "Sonus Cantus - Let the song resound..." the choir continues to celebrate the beauty of music and the joy of collective harmony.
