Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso

The show was amazing, the concert is really well planned out and the arrangements are really interesting, specially the more synth-heavy ones and the heavy guitar ones (performed more towards the end). CatoPaco and their band (UATS) have such a unique presence on stage, they always have this comedic spice to them, but are incredible musicians through and through and deliver these rich performances full of surprises and climatic moments. There's great interaction with the public and an always-present genuine feeling of enjoyment from them while performing. The stage design is also, as always, top notch. It pairs really well with the aesthetic and themes they have created for the Free Spirits album. The venue, on the other hand, is terrible. It's just a big room with no sound treatment whatsoever, so the songs all sounded like a tight sound block, very boxy, echoey and messy. The voices and keyboard got overpowered by the bass and drums and were, a lot of times, hard to hear. Taking into account the cultural relevance of Catriel and Paco and how rich their music is (harmonically, melodically and rythmically speaking), I felt it was a bit disrespectful to everybody to just throw them into that venue, famous for always having these issues. The boys deserved a better space, and so did the fans.
