The Pitch Meeting

I go to riders events and open mics all over the city including down in Franklin and Pitch Meeting is unique and head and shoulders above the rest. It’s a different mix of styles although everything is welcome – most everything in Nashville is country/Americana and Pitch Meeting is… Everything. You do get some Americana/country now and again but you also get jazz, pop, blues, and a few times even rap. It’s fascinating watching Eric the bass player/coach basically produce music they’ve never heard/practice before live in front of you and within a couple minutes it sounds like a studio album. It’s a real display ofnot just the talent of the writer/artist but also the house band who is amazing. The new venue at analog is spectacular – the vibe, the sound, and the restaurant in the hotel is most excellent. This is one of the best things to do in Nashville.
