Yachty by Nature is America's yacht rock band!!! Since 2016, we've been playing smooth 70's and 80's soft rock from SEA to SHINING SEA.

Yes, your captains of smooth music began forming way back in 2011 when Captain Carl and Scotty McYachty were playing with an 80's band. A girl at an industry party in LA waltzed up to the stage and asked if we would play some yacht rock. We've been riveted ever since and the more I dug into the genre, the more I realized the common thread of most music I enjoyed was, in fact, YACHT ROCK.

Before I knew it, Scotty was down to jump ship and get on the yacht and our Yachty wolfpack grew to 2. With the addition of Big Wave Dave on drums, we finally added a sax man Dr. Ira for a few years. Pacific Rim added more sax and flute. And, this year we added Wes Coast on lead guitar and Julie McCoy, our singer and cruise director.

The combination of these talented musicians, the passion for smooth music, and the desire to bring LIVE yacht rock to Southern California...and beyond, had launched the S.S. Yachty by Nature.
