Biografía del artista
Brittany Davis is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer, and storyteller whose music pulses with radical truth and soul. Blind since birth, she was born in Kansas City before relocating to Seattle. It’s there that she was introduced to Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard who signed her to his label, Loosegroove Records. Brittany channels a lifetime of resilience and sensory brilliance into her genre-defying sound.
Her latest release, Black Thunder (2025), is a fierce, autobiographical odyssey, completely improvised over just two days in the studio, melding jazz, soul, gospel, and raw experimental fire. Hailed by Spin as “one of the most necessary albums of the year,” and declared, “a stunning journey through expressive, improvisatory, spiritual jazz” by KEXP, Black Thunder reckons with generational trauma, systemic injustice, and personal struggle, while celebrating the unbreakable power of spirit and sound.
Gifted with perfect pitch, Brittany experiences the world through vibration and frequency. For her, music isn’t just expression, it’s survival. Her songs are visceral, cinematic, and unflinchingly honest, bringing the listener into a world of deep listening and even deeper feeling. Whether headlining a stage, laying down tracks in the studio, or speaking out for disability rights and injustice, Brittany Davis is a rising force, one whose thunder is only beginning to be heard around the world.
