Darkness falls on Tampa Bay once again.
The WMNF Halloween Ball returns Friday, October 16, taking over @newworldtampa for a night of goth rock, darkwave, industrial sounds, dancing, costumes and Halloween mayhem.
This year, we’re turning up the darkness with a lineup built for the dance floor, featuring @obsidian_officialband , @lastgrasp and @modular_13_official , plus DJ Jet/@jetmike242 keeping the party moving throughout the night.
This year’s master of ceremonies is Alexis Brooke Williams, bringing her humor and energy to the stage as she guides us through a night of music, costumes and Halloween surprises.
👻 Dress Up. Get Weird. Dance.
The Halloween Ball wouldn’t be complete without Tampa Bay showing us its creative side.
Come dressed to haunt, shock, impress or make us laugh. Whether you’re going full gothic nightmare, classic monster, pop-culture creation or something completely unexpected, costumes are highly encouraged.
Bring your friends, hit the dance floor and celebrate Halloween with the WMNF community while supporting independent, listener-powered radio in Tampa Bay.

Biografía del artista
Obsidian is a Gothic/ Post-Punk band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, and was originally formed as a creative outlet for the various members to deal with their own traumatic experiences and existential epiphanies. The group originally formed in 2018 evolving into the current four piece version consisting of Missy Mortis (Guitars, Vocals, Primary song writer), Dent A Gon (Bass Guitars), DC (Drums and Percussion) and Kathy D (Synths and Keyboards). The group's style has been described as "post punk", "goth" and "death rock" and combines a fierce love of rock music with darker electronic and esoteric elements. The group draws on a long and varied set of influences including "traditional goth" acts such as Siouxsie and The Banshees and Christian Death, as well as modern acts likes She Past Away, and even the gender bending funk and pop of Prince. Obsidian currently has 3 EP releases; 2018's four track EP "A Swamp", which was followed by the 2019 EP "Living Dead", and 2020's "Vultures". Finally released in 2024 was the band's first full-length album "19 Dead" on Bat-Cave Productions - Available on all major streaming platforms.
