“Bitch is a feminist force that the world needs now more than ever” said Yahoo Entertainment, when her latest album “Bitchcraft” was released on Kill Rock Stars. Bitch is known for her bold and colorful live shows and this one will not disappoint. Come for an evening of electric violin-forward “poet pop,” storytelling and humor. Bitch first achieved notoriety as one half of the queer folk duo Bitch and Animal, who toured extensively with Ani DiFranco and released two albums on her label Righteous Babe Records. In the mid 2000s, Bitch went solo, and since then has toured with the Indigo Girls, acted in John Cameron Mitchell’s film Shortbus, co-wrote a song with Margaret Cho, and produced two albums of her elder and folk hero Ferron. Bitch has been developing a one woman show based on the songs from “Bitchccraft,” which has run in Provincetown for 3 Summers and off-Broadway at wild project. She is also a co-creator and star of a comedy project “One Long Earring” (think Lezzie Spinal Tap) with Faith Soloway (Transparent, Second City), with Melissa Ferrick and Pamela Means in the cast.
