The Cedar Shakers

The Cedar Shakers are a roots country/indie folk band from San Diego. Lyrically and musically, the band covers a range of musical territory – from bluegrass-inspired numbers and barroom rockers to slow-burn, melodic explorations. The Cedar Shakers came together in 2017 and focused on songwriting before hitting San Diego’s live music circuit. Early releases garnered the band a San Diego Music Awards nomination in 2022. The Cedar Shakers perform throughout San Diego County, and have opened for bands such as Never Come Down (bluegrass), Midnight North (rock), The Builders and The Butchers (folk rock), Michigan Rattlers (folk rock), and Tea Leaf Green (jam/roots rock). Their five-song EP Begin Again, a collaboration with Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Frankie No Name, came out in December 2024. Their latest single, "Restless Soul", was released in September 2025.
