Los Sara Fontan explore the irrational through sound and texture, whether acoustic, distorted, or electronic. The duo, formed by Sara Fontan and Edi Pou (one half of ZA!), pushes their instruments to their limits through loops, glitches, irregular rhythms, and atonality.
The stage is their natural habitat: every performance is physical, passionate, punk, ever-changing, and deeply responsive to its surroundings. Their music is open source and frequently extends into collaborations with dance, poetry, theatre, and film.
Sara and Edi have performed in dozens of countries through an underground network they are proud to be part of, driven by the question of whether it is possible to build a musical career without following the productive routines of the music industry.
