Amazing Royal Crowns

The Crowns have reunited and have brought back their annual Providence Payback festival at the same time! The Payback fest was a yearly event that the band would host at Lupo’s and the Met as a thank you to, and a party for their fans. The fest ran from 1996-2001 and featured many national and local bands. Always a fun time, expect to see various genres of music and maybe some surprises! This year's Payback will be held at Alchemy in Providence over two nights, October 2nd and 3rd. This enables us to vary up the set lists each night with some surprises, while keeping the shows tight and energetic. Night #2 features the Pilfers straight from NYC. The Crowns have played with the Pilfers many times throughout their career and are looking forward to sharing the stage at this year's Payback with these "Raggacore" ska legends. We’re starting this night off strong with The Rins from Boston; their sound combines ska with doo-wop, punk, roots, and reggae. The Crowns had the pleasure of sharing a stage with them last year, and are honored they took time from their touring schedule to play the Payback! These two Payback dates are the only shows the Crowns will be playing for the rest of the year.
