Ancestral Tongue

Ancestral Tongue is a music ensemble based in Liberty, TN, that performs the original music of Filipino pianist and singer/songwriter Roqué Marcelo.
Along with guitarist Andrew Weitze, drummer Joe Allen, and bassist/mandolinist MaxZine, our performances come alive with varying textures and rhythms that add depth and colors to our sound. Our music tells stories connected to identity, culture, and self-empowerment through our adventurous compositions that blend pop, classical, jazz, and rock styles.
