Joe Rian

Joe Rian has been making music on his own terms since 2008. A Rock Falls, Illinois transplant now based in Chicago, he fronts the A.M. Drinkers — a bar band built on working songs, twangy songs, steel mill songs, and lovers leaving songs. His style has been called tavern rock. Songs best consumed in your favorite dive bar. He draws on alt-country, roots rock, and Americana without planting a flag in any one of them. The influences are there — blues, folk, classic country — but the songs don't announce it. They just sound like a Friday night that went a little longer than planned. Rian has been featured in Relix Magazine, AmericanaUK, and WGN Radio. His 2023 record Midwest Boy charted at number two on the Americana Country charts for seven straight weeks on the Roots Music Report. He books his own shows, runs his own label, and handles everything himself — the way he always has. Think You're In Love is his fifth studio record.
