JOHNATHAN BOND

GRAMMY-Nominated Singer • Songwriter • Concert Minister • Humanitarian

For more than three decades, Johnathan Bond has devoted his life to using music, ministry, and compassionate outreach to make a difference in the lives of others. A GRAMMY-nominated recording artist, songwriter, concert minister, and multiple Dove Award nominee, Johnathan's journey has taken him from churches and concert stages across America to television, radio, recording studios, and, perhaps most importantly, directly into communities where people are hurting and in need.

While music has opened countless doors throughout his career, Johnathan has always believed that ministry extends far beyond a stage.

In 1994, that vision took a more formal shape with the establishment of Young Harmony, Inc. What began through music and Christian ministry would eventually grow into an organization with a much broader mission: reaching people physically, emotionally, spiritually, and economically while sharing a message of faith, encouragement, and hope.

As President and CEO of Young Harmony, Inc., Johnathan has spent decades combining Christian music, concerts, speaking, testimony, prayer, and humanitarian service into one unified ministry.

Throughout his recording and concert career, Johnathan has become known not simply for singing a song, but for communicating the heart behind it. His ministry is built around the belief that music has the ability to reach people in places ordinary conversation sometimes cannot. Whether standing before a large audience or praying individually with someone after a service, his purpose remains the same—to leave people with hope.

That same philosophy has shaped Johnathan's work as a songwriter.

For Johnathan, songwriting has never been simply about finding a clever lyric, rhyme, melody, or hook. He believes the most powerful songs are written from real life—the victories, disappointments, scars, faith, love, loss, and experiences that connect one human heart to another. His songs have been recorded and shared through a career that continues to evolve, while his songwriting remains deeply rooted in faith and personal experience.

His work in gospel and Christian music has brought significant industry recognition, including a GRAMMY nomination and multiple Dove Award nominations. Yet despite those accomplishments, Johnathan has consistently measured success by something different: whether the music and ministry have touched someone's life.

That conviction became even more visible in 2009, when Young Harmony launched the Extended Arms Project.

Extended Arms was created to reach beyond the walls of the church and serve people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and difficult life circumstances in practical ways. What started as a desire to help has developed into a growing outreach that now helps provide food and assistance to approximately 5,200 homeless and underprivileged people each month across 10 states—and continues to grow.

Through Extended Arms, Johnathan and the Young Harmony team work to feed, clothe, encourage, and restore hope and dignity to people in need, while reminding those they serve that they have not been forgotten.

For Johnathan, the people served through Extended Arms are not statistics. They are individuals with names, stories, families, struggles, and dreams. His hands-on involvement—serving meals, talking with people, praying with them, and listening to their stories—has become one of the defining elements of his life's work.

Music and humanitarian outreach eventually came together in an especially meaningful way when legendary entertainer and songwriter Dolly Parton saw a video of Johnathan feeding people experiencing homelessness.

Dolly recognized Johnathan as someone she had known for many years and reached out to him after seeing the outreach work. She had begun writing a chorus and invited Johnathan to help complete the song.

That invitation ultimately became “Always Give Love,” written by Dolly Parton, Johnathan Bond, and Michael Lee.

The song's message is a natural extension of the philosophy Johnathan has tried to live throughout his career: regardless of circumstances, differences, or what someone may be going through, there is always an opportunity to give love.

Produced by Michael Lee at LifeSound Studio in Cleveland, Tennessee, “Always Give Love” became the title song of Johnathan's album of the same name and represents an important new chapter in a career that continues to blend songwriting, recording, ministry, and service.

Johnathan's more recent recording work has included projects such as Back Home Again and the Always Give Love album, while his concert and ministry schedule continues to take him to churches and events throughout the United States.

Today, Johnathan Bond remains active as a recording artist, songwriter, concert minister, speaker, nonprofit leader, and humanitarian. He continues traveling, writing and recording music, conducting worship concerts and ministry services, and leading Young Harmony and the Extended Arms Project.

But beneath the awards, recordings, concerts, television appearances, and accomplishments is a remarkably simple purpose.

Reach people. Encourage people. Feed people. Love people. And use every gift God has given him to leave someone's life a little better than he found it.

For Johnathan, ministry isn't confined to a microphone, a platform, or a church building.
Sometimes ministry is a song.
Sometimes it's a prayer.
Sometimes it's a hot meal handed to someone who hasn't eaten.
And sometimes it is simply looking another person in the eye and reminding them:
You matter. You haven't been forgotten. And there is always a reason to give love.
