Focused

Blind Sight is Focused’s fourth studio album, blending spontaneous prose, stream-of-consciousness writing, and persona rap to turn a critical lens toward today's visionary distortions while tackling complex themes such as mind control, psychological warfare, and consumerist culture. Whereas AM Grinding paid homage to his Italian roots and his late grandfather’s knife-grinding business, Blind Sight is grounded in his 20+ years in the music industry and is thematically inspired by his grandfather’s experiences with psychiatrization. Characteristic of Focused’s work, the album maintains an ethos of resilience and authenticity, reminding listeners of the importance of returning to one’s roots, the Self, and an inner knowing regarding the artist’s path forward. The album is raw, experimental, and at times trance-like, inviting listeners into the many (un)worldly spaces inhabited by Focused and his collaborators.
