Annie has a beautiful voice and is a talented guitarist. While I already love her recorded music, there was an extra something there in person. Looking forward to seeing her again sometime.

Biografía de Annie Stokes
Annie Stokes is a dark Americana songstress and folk lyricist from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Virginia. Raised on bluegrass and songwriting greats, she began her career by paying her dues in bars and street festivals in her home state of Virginia, before beginning to carve out her niche as a keeper of crystalline moments, liminal spaces, and sensory recall.
Her 2021 album "The One That Gets Away" catapulted her to regional fame and won the 2022 Washington Area Music Award for Best Americana/Country Album. Her follow-up EP, 2023's "Wild Rose" (produced by Grammy member Austin Bello) cemented her reputation as the creator of clever hooks and incandescent melodies that play with, while also challenging, the alt-Americana and cosmic country genre.
