Biografía de BEEFCAKE
BEEFCAKE is an alternative rock band from Richmond, Virginia named after their neighborhood alley cat of the same name. The band was founded in 2022 by Andrew Watson (Bass), Nick Howe (drums & vocals), Rey Murati (guitar), and Pete Finfrock (synth/keys, guitar, & vocals). Each member takes part in songwriting process merging their unique styles to create the sonic soundings of BEEFCAKE.
Their sound has been described as crunchy indie, rollicking rock, and alternative but not too loud. The band cites influences from Tame Impala, The Strokes, Melvins, and Erroll Garner.
Their debut EP “Is The Cat’s Name” was recorded at The Beef House on November 12, 2022. Mixing and mastering was done by Pat Silva, benevolent overlord, and Electric Temple Studio executive Connor Tufford. The album cover was a collaborative effort between the band members, which include photography of Beefcake the cat by Nick Howe and official BEEFCAKE font design by local Richmond artist Liesl Tahmassebi.
