Sleepin’ Dogz Duo hails from the salty, sun soaked shores of Florida’s East Coast. We are comprised of the husband and wife team of singer-songwriter, Jeannie Burke and lead guitarist, Leo Burke. We perform a genre fluid jaunt through the decades featuring reimagined versions of popular hits as well as some fun deep cuts. In addition to covers, we also have an extensive collection of original material. We enjoy touring regularly and have booked several notable venues, such as The Bluebird in Nashville, TN and The Bitter End in NYC. Jeannie was a finalist in the singer songwriter competition at Suwannee Spring Fest at the renowned Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.

Biografía de Sleepin' Dogz
The Sleepin’ Dogz hails from the sun baked Treasure Coast of Florida. The band started as a husband and wife duo with singer-songwriter, Jeannie Burke and lead guitarist, Leo Burke. In mid 2017, bassist/singer songwriter Steven Pippin and drummer, Jeff Newman joined the Burkes to perform as a full band. Jeannie & Leo continue to tour regionally as the duo and play with the full band for festivals such as St Lucie Farm to Grass Music Festival and Sebastian Fine Art & Music Festival.
We are rock fans and in addition to writing and performing our original music, we play reimagined covers from artists we love and grew up with, such as Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Govt Mule & Pink Floyd.
We get our souls fueled by live performance. The energy exchange between the band and audience is a joyful experience for us all.
We have two lead vocalists which affords us the ability to be versatile in our song choices. We really enjoy harmonizing and adding gang vocals when Jeff and Leo chime in.
We strive to put on an inspiring live show that seamlessly carries the listener through a myriad of emotions. Whether it’s heartbreaking, chicken skin inducing ballads, sweaty, soul shaking rock jams, our band’s mission is to move the music lover within.
The duo have toured Nationally performing at a variety of venues including legendary songwriter's showcases such as Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Florida, The Blue Bird in Nashville, and The Bitter End in NYC. They have developed a loyal and ever-growing fan base.
