CAPSULA’s live shows are pure ritual—fuzz, volume, and trance-inducing energy. The band, formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and based in Bilbao, Spain, is a riff-driven power trio blending fuzz-drenched garage rock, heavy psych, and cosmic stoner energy. Their sound fuses raw intensity with hypnotic grooves—somewhere between the primal fire of garage punk and the immersive weight of desert rock.

With over 1,000 shows worldwide—including Primavera Sound, SXSW, and Austin Psych Fest—they’ve shared the stage with icons like Iggy Pop, Pearl Jam, Os Mutantes, and X.

Their explosive live shows and riff-soaked records have drawn comparisons to The Black Angels, Boris, Goat, and other purveyors of heavy psychedelia—while echoing the raw spirit of South American legends like Pappo’s Blues and Pescado Rabioso.

Albums like Rising Mountains and In the Land of Silver Souls were produced by Ivan Julian and John Agnello, while Solar Secrets was produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T. Rex). Their reimagining of Ziggy Stardust transformed Bowie’s glam epic into a dark, psychedelic trip.

Their 2024 release, Primitivo Astral, dives deeper into the heavy psych spectrum—combining stoner riffs, spacey textures, and surreal atmospheres. It’s a cosmic journey built on distortion, low end, and hypnotic repetition.

CAPSULA has also performed multiple live sessions on KEXP, and continues to evolve as one of the most electrifying acts in the international psych rock / stoner scene.
