Zach Meyer

A lifelong musician with a deep knowledge of diverse musical styles, Zach adds his unique sense of funk and groove to any genre on a variety of instruments. Zach has been recognized as a culture bearer by the Mass Cultural Council for his significant contributions to the preservation of traditional music and for fostering a vibrant roots music community in the Greater Boston area.

Zach most often performs on mandolin, and he brings the same high energy to every musical moment, whether a festival main stage, an intimate listening room, a studio recording session, or a rowdy local bar. He performs live with a number of bands ranging from original Americana (Grain Thief), to honky tonk country (the Talking Hearts), traditional old time (Dumpster Debbie; the Flat Earth Rounders), Louisiana Cajun dancehall (the Empty Bottle Ramblers; Cajun Surprise), and classic funk (Variety Pack).
