Krissy Bergmark

Krissy Bergmark is a relative of Bertine and Ester Olsen: Jentene på Flatholmen. As a tabla player, artist, and composer based in Chicago, IL, US, she has developed a multimedia work entitled Bodies of Water, which explores family history and epigenetic inheritance, storytelling and lineage, and the memories we store in our bodies that are not always our own. The piece moves between the re-telling of a family historical event, and Bergmark’s own reflections, memories, and explorations of bodily sensations. Her first foray into expanded performance mediums, her memories come to life in the vivid visuals, soundscape and music.
