I appreciate that I was able to stream Symphony of Stars and be able to watch it again on Sunday. I enjoyed the show. I love hearing Shulem sing. My complaint is he wasn’t on long enough. Benny Friedman sang longer and more. As did Mordechai Shapiro. Shulem should have opened the show and ended it. It was wonderful seeing and hearing Avraham Fried.

Shulem Biography

Shulem Lemmer, originally from Brooklyn, has emerged as a compelling voice in the realm of Jewish music, blending the rich traditions of his faith with a modern sensibility that appeals to a global audience. His rise to fame began somewhat serendipitously when a YouTube video of him singing, uploaded by an admirer, captured the attention of music industry executives. This exposure led to his historic signing with Universal Music Group’s Decca Gold label, making him the first Hasidic singer to join a major record label.

Shulem's debut album, simply titled "Shulem," laid the groundwork for his unique style, merging classical Jewish liturgical music with modern orchestration. The success of this initial release paved the way for his subsequent albums, including "The Perfect Dream." Produced by Jon Cohen, this album featured a mix of traditional songs and contemporary classics like Les Miserables’ "Bring Him Home" and "Jerusalem Of Gold," as well as original pieces, further establishing Shulem as a versatile and evocative performer.

Building on this success, Shulem's follow-up album, "Kiddush Hashem," expands his repertoire, continuing to explore themes of faith and communal pride with his emotionally resonant voice. Shulem's music does more than just entertain; it serves as a bridge, connecting listeners from diverse backgrounds worldwide, drawn by his stunning vocal clarity and magnetic charisma. His performances are not only a showcase of vocal talent but also a celebration of cultural heritage, resonating with audiences who find both familiarity and novelty in his renditions. Through his albums and live performances, Shulem Lemmer embodies the spirit of his music—lifting spirits and uniting people across the globe.
