Marshall Dane Biography
Marshall Dane is not your typical Artist / Songwriter.
Marshall's not chasing validation from an industry preoccupied with the number of streams music receives. Rather, he
is a confident, independent Artist who has lived a full life - a man who has stayed true to himself and who has not been
swayed by external pressures. A natural-born storyteller, Marshall’s journey has been shaped by a life full of victories
and setbacks. Experiences that have made him the unique person and Artist that he is today.
Born into a family of musicians, Marshall Dane has a unique background. The son of a preacher man, his upbringing
influences his music with a depth of soul rarely seen. His music is not just about entertainment - it’s as much about
deeply connecting with his audience.
One of the most striking things about Marshall is his authenticity and genuine love for music. He doesn't shy away from
sharing his vulnerabilities or emotions, and his confessional style of delivering lyrics resonates deeply with listeners.
Whether playing for 40 people or 4000 people, Marshall’s passion shines through in every performance. He leaves it
all on stage, pouring his heart and soul into every song with an unforgettable presence that captivates the audience.
What also sets Marshall apart is his use of American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with the Deaf community.
As the son of a minister, he was raised with a strong sense of compassion and inclusivity which extends to his music
and his dedication to helping others. By incorporating ASL into his performances, he not only makes his music
accessible to the Deaf, but he also raises awareness of this community.
Marshall's talent has to-date earned him five nominations for Male Artist of the Year at the Country Music Association
of Ontario Awards. He has also graced the stages of renowned music festivals such as Boots and Hearts, Sarnia
Bayfest, The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and the Calgary Stampede and has performed shows supporting
Alan Jackson, Blue Rodeo, Eric Church and many more.
A unique blend of country, rock and singer-songwriter, Marshall's music has a universal appeal that transcends borders.
His music has captured the hearts of the Canadian audience, as well as the hearts of an international audience with his
songs playing on radio across Canada and the United States, including KX96, Great Lakes Country 102, Pure Country,
iHeart Radio, CBC and Rogers.
