Kader Tarhanine

Kader Tarhanine, born Kader Sabou in 1989 in Bordj Mokhtar, Algeria, is a rising star in modern Tuareg music. He gained international fame in 2012 with his iconic song "Tarhanine Tegla," becoming a major figure for Tuareg youth worldwide. His music blends traditional Tuareg rhythms with rock influences, and his poetic lyrics in Tamasheq and Arabic deeply resonate with listeners.

Renowned for his impressive stage performances and exceptional guitar skills, Kader has collaborated with notable African musicians such as Oumou Sangaré, Fatoumata Diawara, Sidiki Diabaté, Mouna Dendeny, and Carlou D. These collaborations have enriched his music and established him as a musical ambassador for peace, promoting harmony and understanding among diverse communities.

Kader performs annually at various European festivals and concerts as part of the Caravane Culturelle pour la Paix from the Festival au Désert. His discography includes significant albums like "Ikewane: Racines" (2015) and "Tarhanine Tegla" (2012), as well as works with his band, Afous d’Afous.
