Revis Biography
Revis is a post-grunge rock band from Ewing, IL. The band is made up of five musicians: Justin Holman (vocals), Robert Davis (guitars), Nathaniel Cox (guitars), Bob Thiemann (bass) and David Piribauer (drums). Originally the band went as Orco but changed their name when they left their hometown looking for bigger things. The group then went to Los Angeles in search of their dream. After hardships, they released a demo that included some of the songs that were on their debut album and many of the record companies liked what they were hearing. Eventually, in 2002, the band signed with Epic Records and started working on their first album at NRG Recording in North Hollywood. Fame was not far away once they had started their album and their dream was almost within reach. The end result of their efforts was a debut album titled Places for Breathing that has 11 tracks including the hits Caught in the Rain and Seven. After some touring with bands Evanescence, Fuel, and Cold, Revis was introduced to the masses and their songs started making it onto the radio more often. Their album debuted at number one on Billboard's Heatseekers chart putting Revis on the map for all to see and hear. The group announced that they were disbanding in 2005.
2023 saw the band re-unite with a revived passion to collaborate. These sessions produced their latest release Bottles Of Lightning, which dropped May 2, 2024.
