Moonwards – sana, josta huokuu kaipuu kaukaisuuksiin – on yhtye Helsingistä, jonka musiikki puhuttelee juuri näitä teemoja. Vuonna 2022 perustettu yhtye löytää monet esikuvistaan 1980 ja -90-lukujen vaihtoehtorockin, shoegazen ja new waven maailmoista tarjoten oman tulkintansa valtavirrasta poikkeavan rockmusiikin kentälle melodisten kitarariffien, rakkauden ja elämän pohdiskelun sekä satunnaisten outojen tahtilajien keinoin.
Moonwards julkaisi talvella 2023–2024 ensimmäiset sinkkunsa, joista muodostui myös helmikuussa 2024 julkaistu yhtyeen nimeä kantava debyytti-EP. Kappaleita on kuultu niin kotimaan radioaalloilla Radio Helsingillä sekä Roll FM:llä, kuin myös esimerkiksi Yhdysvalloissa shoegaze-asema DKFM:llä. Moonwards on saanut myös huomiota musiikin vientiin erikoistuneen organisaation Music Finlandin sekä maan johtavan musiikkilehden Soundinkin sivuilla.
Ethel Suspense is a Finnish alt-country band that has its roots deep in Americana and power pop. Guitar-driven tunes filled with memorable choruses and Eaglesque harmonies – these are the elements that form the basis for the band.
Ethel Suspense draws inspiration from bands such as Wilco, Teenage Fanclub and Jayhawks
The band continues to discover new melodic gems in the key of C.

Moonwards Biography
Moonwards – a word brimming with yearning and wanderlust – is a band from Helsinki, Finland, whose music speaks to these very themes. Drawing much of their inspiration from alternative rock, shoegaze, and new wave acts of the 1980s and ‘90s, the band founded in 2022 offers their own brand of left field rock music soaked in layers of melodic guitar lines, contemplation on love and loss, and an occasional odd time signature here and there.
The first batch of singles by Moonwards, released over the winter of 2023–2024, have already been heard on Finnish radio stations Radio Helsinki and Roll FM, and abroad on DKFM Shoegaze Radio in the US. These tracks also make up the band's self-titled debut EP which was released in February 2024. Moonwards have also been featured by the likes of Music Finland and the leading Finnish music magazine Soundi, among others.
